The DOP OLI DE TERRA ALTA, was set up at the end of 2000 when the olive oil sector of the area became conscious of the advantages that quality control of their product could imply. It will begin the first steps towards creating a competitive product in this market and establishing Oil and extra virgin oil, which is known in the European Community as a DOP from 2005.

The principal functions of the CRDOP of the terra alta are: - The defence of the DOP - Application of its public legislation at DOCG number 3731- 02/10/2002 The CRDOP has established a policy of quality control that reflects its promise with the realisation of professional work in relation to the certification of those products protected by DOP.
